As part of our developing ESG strategy and the work of our Foundation Trust, we are delighted to announce that we have partnered with environmental charity, Earth Trust, to help fund their ‘Inspiring Future Green Leaders’ programme.
Earth Trust are a charity dedicated to ensuring everyone across the UK has access to green space, to bring people and nature closer together. Through this nature connection, they work to inspire action on climate, biodiversity and personal wellbeing.
Their new ‘Inspiring Future Green Leaders’ programme is a three-year journey that aims to encourage environmental stewardship in future generations through an environmental education and experience programme for children. Our funding will mean that Earth Trust can work with 450 more children across 15 schools. The programme will be focused on schools in Reading, close to our Group HQ in Bracknell, which aligns with our commitment to support the communities in which we work.
The programme aims to cultivate a network amongst the schools that facilitates the exchange of knowledge, enthusiasm and experiences around important topics like biodiversity and climate culture. The Earth Trust will also deliver other on-site and off-site adventures and learning opportunities for both the students and the teachers. All of the activities involved in the programme have been designed with the aim of exciting and equipping the individuals with the information they need, so we can create the Earth guardians of the future.
We are extremely proud to be supporting the Earth Trust’s programme and are excited to see the impact this has on local communities over the next few years.
