Overview
To identify, establish, grow and maintain lasting and mutually beneficial partnerships with customers. Increase revenue opportunities utilising a variety of routes to market with a focus on specification business.
This position is full time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday) and permanent.
Detail
- Represent Modular Clay Products professionally at all times
- Generate profitable specification sales for the company
- Maintain and develop relations with key specifiers, architects and customers
- Seek new opportunities, leads and contacts
- Seek to develop long lasting relationships with all stakeholders
- Work within guidelines and instruction from Managing Director
- Partner with other members of the MCP sales team to develop opportunities for all
- Seek approval by Managing Director in advance for pricing, discounts and rebates
- Comply with all requests for sales pipeline reporting
- Provide accurate and comprehensive information to Sales Admin team for generation of Quotes, Sales Orders and Purchase Orders.
- Provide the Managing Director with reports on customer needs, problems, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
- Liaise with internal colleagues to ensure all company processes are followed including credit and order management.
Essential
- Full driving licence
- Previous experience of meeting target income and working to KPIs
- Experience of prospecting or cold calling
- Customer account management
- Comply with all requests for internal reporting timely, e.g. mileage, expenses
- Embrace training development on sales and product knowledge and actively encourage feedback
- Experienced in managing and generating new business
- Ability to build and maintain business relationships
- Driven, ambitious and highly self-motivated
- Confident with a strong desire for a successful career in sales
- Personable, presentable and professional
- Good ability in Microsoft environment including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Proactive nature to look for work and opportunities
- Must enjoy and be able to communicate effectively
Desirable
- Proven track record of working with architects in specification sales, taking business from prospect to trading customers.
