Overview
Full-time | Temporary
As the Marketing Manager, you will manage the performance of the marketing team and support them to achieve or exceed the agreed aims and objectives of the department in line with the marketing strategy and budget. You will also effectively manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously, develop effective working relationships with stakeholders and third-party providers and demonstrate a return on investment.
This position is full time (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday) and for a fixed-term contract of 9 months, with the potential to become permanent, dependant on performance.
This role is based in Taylor Maxwell's office in Clifton, Bristol.
The salary band for this role is £40-45k.
Duties
- Work with key stakeholders to shape the marketing strategy and budget, establishing positioning, target audiences and focus products in line with the overall business objectives
- Continually monitor and manage marketing budget and evidence that marketing spend is delivering a return on investment
- Manage the execution of key projects such as the production of new websites; work in collaboration with agencies and utilise resource within the team where needed
- Manage the ongoing updates of Group PLC website and related marketing information, liaising with internal stakeholders and external companies to ensure consistency and compliance
- Manage daily, weekly and monthly tasks and priorities for the team to ensure all tasks are distributed as required and deadlines are met
- Manage company Personal Assistant and support with day-to-day tasks including event organisation, liaising with Managing Director where necessary
- Develop and support the team to create and manage monthly marketing campaigns in line with the agreed strategy and sales cycles
- Support the team to track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and produce reports with key data and findings – communicate results with senior team
- Review and approve all marketing content, ensuring strong attention to detail and brand consistency and providing feedback and edits where required
- Ensure marketing software and third-party tools are utilised fully and effectively
- Continually analyse and keep abreast of customer insights, market trends/changes and marketing best practice, including adherence with regulations such as GDPR
- Carry out necessary recruitment, training, mentoring and appraisals for the team in line with company policies and procedures
- Any other duty deemed by the senior team to be in the interest of the department in achieving its objectives
Essential
- Proven experience in a similar role with success in developing and executing marketing strategies, plans and campaigns
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business or related field
- Experience of managing a team and marketing budget
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build and nurture effective working relationships with stakeholders and manage challenges
- Strong project management, a proactive approach and ability to use initiative
- Strong attention to detail with experience and confidence in being the final sign-off for marketing content and activities
- Proficient with digital and traditional marketing activities including experience of using marketing tools and programmes such as Adobe Creative Suite, GA4, website CMS’ and marketing automation tools
- Strategic and forward thinking with a metrics-driven mind and eye for creativity
Desirable
- Experience of supporting other areas of a business such as event organisation
- Experience of coordinating marketing plans and campaigns across multiple businesses, audiences and products
- Knowledge of the construction industry and building materials
- Willingness to travel to other offices on occasion
