Brickability Foundation Trust Donates £51,806 to Hope for Children
In October 2021, Paul Hamilton, Group COO and Divisional Director of the Distribution Division, ran the London Marathon for Hope for Children, raising a massive £25,903! Through the recently created Brickability Group Foundation Trust, the decision was made to match the money raised by Paul, taking the total donation to £51,806.
Hope for Children are an international charity who partner with organisations across the world to deliver projects that enable children living in extreme poverty to have access to quality education and health and wellbeing resources, as well as support for their families to create stable financial environments. Their vital work ensures the most vulnerable children are able to experience a positive childhood.
AWARE (Achieving Wash for Rights to Education) is one of Hope for Children’s projects in the remote forest area of Telangana, India. Due to the severe levels of poverty in the area, very few schools have suitable (if any) toilets or hand washing facilities, making them unsanitary and unpleasant places to be. Hope for Children are tackling this by building toilets and improving existing facilities alongside Modern Architects for Rural India (MARI), as well as running awareness sessions for the children and community on sanitation and hygiene.
We hope that the money donated will continue to support Hope for Children’s incredible work with those who need it most.
