Brickability Group Foundation's Big Sport Ballot Update
Last year, the Brickability Group Foundation announced that they had allocated a £20,000 fund to support youth sports clubs for the 2024/25 season.
The clubs have now shared what they spent the donation on.

Staff from across the group were invited to nominate their chosen clubs into the Big Sport Ballot for a chance to win up to £500 for their sports programmes and the response was fantastic.
Passionate nominations were received, and the Trustees of the Brickability Group were so inspired by the responses that they decided to double the budget!
Thanks to all the enthusiastic volunteers, family members and coaches that sent in applications, all 80 nominated clubs received £500 to support their young athletes. Who knows, maybe we’ll see some of these recipients going for gold in future!
Below are just a few of the teams that have benefited from this funding and what they have been able to do.
Ethos Development Centre
- Secure a venue and launch their community football session
- Buy new equipment for the boy’s and girl’s teams
- Ability to put on free sessions for the local community
Pegasus 81 Soccer School
- Purchased new winter coats for the team
Hollingbourne Gymnastics club
- Purchased an Ipad with software to help record and analyse gymnastics movements to support their training and progression
Flourish & Succeed
- Enabled them to send 30 boys, girls, and their parents to see a pantomime, creating unforgettable memories
- Helped cover the fees for hiring the hall next year, enabling them to continue providing football activities and programmes for the most vulnerable children within their communities
Medway and Maidstone AFC
- Helped towards the purchase of a much needed additional marquee to provide cover at club competitions during the winter and summer months
