Inspired by the Group's new approach to sustainability, James Gordon, Depot Manager at Bespoke Brick took the initiative to come up with a way to reduce their use of plastic bubble-wrap and make use of a high-volume of cardboard coming through their facility. James approached Managing Director Andy Wilson who quickly agreed to purchase a cardboard shredder for their site.

The cardboard shredder arrived and quickly became a valuable tool, with the shredding now being used to package up brick samples to send to customers. The team have also encourage staff to bring their own cardboard in from home to reduce further waste and maximise the amount available for packages.

In the first 4 months, the team have saved 1,260m2 of bubble wrap - a fantastic achievement! Well done to James and the team at Bespoke Brick.
