Specialist provider of sustainable technology products and services UPOWA have secured three-year national supplier agreements with Barratt Developments and Redrow to deliver the solar PV requirements for their housing developments – a fantastic achievement

As part of these agreements UPOWA will manage the design, supply, installation and ongoing maintenance of the solar PV systems in order to support both businesses to deliver energy-efficient homes that are fit for the future. Where required, UPOWA will be able to offer their roof-integrated option, the Inline Solar System, featuring sleek and contemporary all-black 400W solar panels.

Barratt Developments

UPOWA will directly support eight Barratt and David Wilson Homes divisions and ensure a smooth roll-out of the energy elements of their Part L transition, including sourcing cost-efficient PV solutions that help them meet their new carbon reduction targets. It is estimated that around 80% of new homes built in England will have solar PV installed as part of the new Part L and the Future Homes Standard which come into force in June this year.

Over the last 10 years, UPOWA have worked hard to build a strong relationship with Barratt and David Wilson Homes and have subsequently future-proofed thousands of new homes with energy-saving measures, helping to protect customers against rising energy costs and reduce their carbon footprint.

James Bull, Founder and Managing Director at UPOWA, said: “We are proud to get this deal over the line and become one of Barratt Developments’ trusted solar PV suppliers. With a track-record of delivering first-class solar PV installations for several of its divisions over the last ten years, this new partnership confirms their trust in our specialist solar product and service. We look forward to helping Barratt and David Wilson Homes to create high-quality sustainable homes that will save homeowners energy, reduce emissions, and combat rising energy prices.”

Redrow

UPOWA are committed to streamlining the process of the supply and install of solar panels to help Redrow save time and money whilst delivering their future-ready homes. Redrow are focused on improving the energy efficiency of the homes they provide as they understand the importance to their customers who are looking to reduce their costs and carbon footprint simultaneously.

The partnership proved to be perfectly positioned due to UPOWA’s fifteen year track-record of new build solar PV experience, large high-skilled labour force, ISO accreditations and extensive product stock holdings.

James Bull, Founder and Managing Director at UPOWA, said: “We are delighted that Redrow has chosen UPOWA as its trusted solar PV partner to help future-proof their developments for the next three years.
We look forward to supplying a one-stop shop solar PV solution to ensure Redrow save time and money on meeting the new Part L Regulations and create high-quality, eco-friendly new homes that reduce energy bills for homeowners.”
