Today marks the launch of our ‘Together for the Future’ Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy – our road map to 2032.

The world is facing huge challenges. . Climate change and the extinction crisis pose threats to our planet. The cost of living and energy crises are increasingly hard hitting and the world is still not yet recovered from the pandemic.

From this year the UK Government has made it mandatory for PLCs to report their carbon emissions, show a transition plan and carry out climate related risk and opportunity assessments, part of Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).

All of our stakeholders rightly expect us to rise to the challenge and act to transform the 34 businesses in the Brickability Group PLC into ones that operate in balance with the planet. , take diversity and inclusion seriously and create healthy and safe workplaces in which our people can contribute their unique talents and thrive.

Our customers have expectations that we will reach net zero carbon as a business, tackle other environmental impacts and provide them with environmental information about their products, such as embodied carbon.

We know that being a more responsible business is the right thing to do and as a major supplier into the construction supply chain we aim to support our customers to design and build sustainable developments where people thrive.

We have spent the last year months understanding our impact on the world, embedding processes, building a team and writing an ESG strategy to guide us to 2032. We look forward to working with all our partners and sharing our progress with you over the coming years.
