McCann was established in 1972 by Managing Director John Mager at the Head Office in Immingham, North Lincolnshire. Most of the work at that time was from the local docks with import and export through Immingham.

Due to continued success in 1978 the business expanded and we increased our services to include customs clearance. This process gave national governments control and monetised the flow of goods across international borders, these new procedures offered McCann customers a ‘one-stop shop’ haulage service which had a massive appeal and also attracted new business to the company.

In December 2020 Brickability Group completed the acquisition of McCann Limited in a move that will provide Brickability with its own in-house logistics and transport operations.
