Partnership to Transform the Supply Chain

In June 2022, the Taylor Maxwell team sponsored the London Festival of Architecture (LFA). The LFA is a month-long celebration of architecture, taking place every June across London. The festival aims to open conversations around city-making and new ideas in architecture and bring together the people and the profession.
2022 marked the fourth year of Taylor Maxwell sponsoring the festival and running their own events. This year the festival returned with a theme of 'act'. With sustainability and climate change at the forefront of discussions within the built environment, the festival provided a great opportunity for Taylor Maxwell to to demonstrate what they are a business and the wider Group are doing to take action.
Through understanding that partnership across the supply chain is key to making change happen, Taylor Maxwell invited supply chain partners and leading contractors Morgan Sindall and Higgins Partnerships, as well as market-leading brick manufacturers Michelmersh and Wienerberger.
Across a selection of dates, all businesses joined forces to talk about sustainable supply chain transformation and the collective journey to net zero for construction. Georgina McLeod, ESG Lead for Brickability Group, opened up with a general picture of global climate change, outlined the UK's plan to be carbon net zero by 2050 and gave a brief overview of our ESG strategy and plans.
