In October, the Brickability Group Foundation Trust announced it would be putting forward a £20,000 internal fund to support youth sports clubs for the 2024/25 season.
With the knowledge that many of our people are passionate about supporting football, rugby, cricket and gymnastics clubs in their communities, the Foundation wanted to find a way to support our people to do this. Therefore, it was decided by the Trustees that a ballot would be put forward to allow employees to nominate their local club and be in with a chance of winning up to £500. The £500 grant could be used to cover uniforms/kit, coaching fees, facility hire, equipment or any other essential needs of the club.
The deadline for nominations was 31st October and Trustees received an overwhelming response of incredibly inspiring entries. As a result, it was decided to double the original fund to a whopping £40,000 to be able to provide £500 to all nominated clubs!!
We strongly believe that sports clubs help to foster teamwork and build confidence and resilience, as well as provide vital opportunities for exercise to improve health and wellbeing. It is for this reason that we are incredibly proud to be able to provide this funding, which will be going towards clubs all across the UK, with thousands of children set to benefit directly.
A huge thank you to all our people for their enthusiasm and commitment.
